ST ANN FEAST DAY 2011

The parish of St Ann will hold her annual feast day on 24th July 2011. The Archbishop of Kuching will preside at the mass beginning at 9 am.

This is a wonderful opportunity for us to gather as the body of Christ at St Ann and to thank God for the many graces that He has showered upon the parish.

The St Ann Parish Sales on 23rd and 24th July will have the usual food fair where the parishioners from the different villages and housing estates will sell all kinds of jungle produce, cooked food and other items.

On the 23rd July, there will be a mini Concert organised by the Parish Youth Ministry and also auction of holy objects whereas on the 24th July, there will be the Lucky Draw segment and auction of holy objects.

You are most welcome to join us for our feast day and to celebrate together.

May the good Lord bless us all of us.

HISTORICAL MOMENT - 2.7.11

The numbers 2.7.11 became historical for the parish of St Ann when the parish councilors at the monthly meeting voted to go ahead with the building of the new St Ann Church design.

Mr Francis Jiee took sometime to explain to the parish councilors regarding the development and process involved.

The new design design will cost RM 7.5 million and so far we have only reached the RM 3.054 million mark. This means we need to think of ways/strategies as to how we can come up with the money and make our dream come true.

Some of the proposed/ongoing activities are as follows:

(1) the 5-year "My GIFT" project - monthly donations collected from families/individuals at the Kampung and Housing estates.

(2) Proposed Golf Tournament

(3) Proposed Dinner Concert

The parish of St Ann is thankful for the many donations received from the parishioners and benefactors so far and we hope that more people will come forward to support the project and help realise our dream of the new St Ann Church .

CORPUS CHRISTI 2011

The Corpus Christi event turned out to be a success with good participation from the nearby 12 housing estates and other ministries from St Ann. The turnout for the event was overwhelming and well attended.

The procession began from the Baruk to the nearby 10th Mile roundabout and then proceed towards Jalan Landeh junction and then return to the Baruk, supported by the assistance of the RELA members and Traffic Police.

The experience was also new for the two co-chairpersons,Lucia and Patrick, as they worked hard (together with the committee) to ensure that the everything ran smoothly for the day.

The following are the events captured on camera:
