MONTH OF MAY - MONTH OF THE ROSARY
A small celebration was held in St Ann to begin the Month of the Rosary. There was a short para liturgy conducted where the statues of Mary was blessed together with the Prayers Leaders from the 16 Housing Estates.

PROJECT RM1K PROGRESS
The RM1K project has come to a close on 30th June 2012. The RM1K Committee wishes to thank all generous benefactors for supporting our dream of building a new Church in 10th Mile.
However, the project will be open to ongoing contribution from generous friends and benefactors as some have yet to respond to the letters send out.
A Big Thank You for all efforts and energies put into this RM1K project. Some of the Kampong Chairman, Taman Chairman including parishioners have gone out of the way to reach out to those potential benefactors out there.
It is wonderful to hear the great desire in our parishioners to make this dream of the New St Ann Church become a reality soon.
The present amount stands at RM 778,801.74 as on 30th June 2012.
May the good Lord bless your generosity towards the building of the new St Ann Church and may all combined efforts bear fruit in time to come

2012 CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION AT ST ANN KOTA PADAWAN (PESTA SAKRAMEN MAHAKUDUS)
The 2012 Corpus Christi procession will be different as compared to the previous years. The solemnity will begin with the Eucharist (mass) at 6 pm in the Baruk followed by the Corpus Christi procession at approximately 7.15 pm.
The procession will begin from St Ann Baruk to the junction of Giant Supermarket and back to St Ann Baruk again. Upon returning, there will be Benediction in the baruk and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for about 15 minutes.
There will be only one Mass on 10/6/2012 (Sunday) at 7.30 am so that parishioners from the 14 housing Estates and nearby Villages can participate in the event. This event is a demonstration of our faith and identity as the Body of Christ and belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.
The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ is also known as the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, which translates from Latin to "Body of Christ."
This feast originated in France in the mid-thirteenth century and was extended to the whole Church by Pope Urban IV in 1264.
This feast calls us to focus on two manifestations of the Body of Christ, the Holy Eucharist and the Church. The primary purpose of this feast is to focus our attention on the Eucharist.
At every Mass our attention is called to the Eucharist and the Real Presence of Christ in it. The secondary focus of this feast is upon the Body of Christ as it is present in the Church. The Church is called the Body of Christ because of the intimate communion which Jesus shares with his disciples. He expresses this in the gospels by using the metaphor of a body in which He is the head. This image helps keep in focus both the unity and the diversity of the Church.
The Feast of Corpus Christi is commonly used as an opportunity for public Eucharistic processions, which serves as a sign of common faith and adoration. Our worship of Jesus in His Body and Blood calls us to offer to God our Father a pledge of undivided love and an offering of ourselves to the service of others.

UPDATE ON RM1K - 500K MARK
We are proud to annouce that we have crossed the 500,000 mark on 8th February for the RM1K. This is truly a great achievement for the parish of St Ann. The current figure stands at RM 527,660.
Like to thank our many wonderful and generous benefactors who have come forward to share the dream of worshipping in a proper Church.
